Author: His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church
Keywords: Romania, village, Christianity, art, heritage
Abstract:
The cultural and artistic heritage of the Romanian Village, though invaluable, have not been sufficiently turned to the best account, nor preserved satisfactorily for the future generations. The Church, along with the other social and cultural factors, could and should be a yeast for the recovering of this legacy. Even if we just mention the profound blend between the vernacular and the Church culture. These and others related were the themes on which His Excellency Father Patriarch Daniel based his opening speech.
