Abstract:
Father Dumitru Stăniloae is perhaps the theologian who managed to understand and write in the best manner about the relation between the priest and the village or about his role in the rural civilization. Though short, this article shows very well the way by which priest can “tempt” himself, in order to win the confidence of his flock towards guiding it into the Kingdom of Heaven. He writes about the temptation of what we call today progressivism, with all its compromising implications and the call to his spiritual pastorship of the faithful with all the activities required by this.
